Crimson Tide Tonights the Night, Things to look for..

Crimson Tide football is seeking the long awaited 13th championship tonight. Some things to look for:

1. Mark Ingram. If any defense is good enough to load the box to slow down the Heisman Trophy winner and still play decent pass defense, it's Texas' . . . but this defense was burned for 532 yards and 39 points by Texas A&M.

2. One dimension. Texas' short passing game is its running game. If Alabama can take that away, and if it can keep Texas QB Colt McCoy from breaking loose for long runs, the Tide could dominate. Big ifs?

3. Turnovers. Texas has forced 35 but given up 23. Alabama has 26 takeaways and only 10 turnovers. The team that takes the best care of the football should win.

Key matchup:
Alabama CB Javier Arenas vs. Texas WR Jordan Shipley. Not only will the two All-Americans go head-to-head when Texas has the ball, but both are standout punt returners who could make a difference with an explosive play.
